Following confirmation The X Factor has been renewed for another three years, Simon Cowell now has a task of filling the seats on the judging panel.

Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw has revealed he will not be returning this year, and it’s been reported Simon, 56, and BBC One’s The Voice are fighting over Rita Ora.

Now The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge has put herself forward for the job – and we think she’d be an amazing addition to the panel.

Could Frankie take over from Nick or Rita this year?

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Frankie, 27, said: “It’d be fun but I’d also be a really hard job because you have to break some people’s dreams.”

Way back in 2001 Frankie took part in talent show S Club Search to land a place in S Club Juniors, so she thinks she’d be able to emphasise with X Factor hopefuls.

She continued: “I know what it’s like to go through the audition process and it would be tough telling people ‘no’ when I know what they’re going through.”

Frankie, who shares sons Parker, two, and six-month-old Carter with husband Wayne, also opened up about Mother’s Day, and why parenthood still doesn’t feel real to her.

She said: “I haven’t got my head around the fact I’m a mum on Mother’s Day yet, so for me Mother’s Day is all about my mum.

“It’s quite strange – on one hand I can’t believe I have two children, but on the other hand I can’t imagine life without them now.”
