Joanne Berry reportedly posed online as her work colleague (who can’t be named) and used her name and registration number to try and convince men to conduct a ‘rape fantasy.’
The court heard that Joanne had had a falling out with her co-worker, prompting her to seek revenge.
Posing as her co-worker, she asked men to arrive at her home and rape her as part of a fantasy.
Her unsuspecting work colleague was then met with bangs at her door from men Joanne had spoken to online.
The victim managed to keep the men from entering her home, but also managed to find out why they had come to her house.
It was then she shockingly discovered that Joanne had been posing as her online and attempting to ‘trick’ men into ‘creating some sort of rape scenario.’
The man in question was reportedly told to ‘ask for information about Joanne Berry’ after he had raped the victim.
A court has heard that Joanne’s laptop was seized and a number of ‘chat line posts’ were found.
Joanne Berry denies all charges- which include attempted assault with the intent of committing a relevant sexual offence- and the trial continues.
