"They've talked about his fears and insecurities a great deal. He gave a list of examples of previous contestants who fell foul of the curse, because he's worried their lives could be turned upside down by the impact of the show."

But Saturdays' singer Frankie, who gave birth to their first son Parker earlier this year, is said to have reassured her husband.

Frankie will involve Wayne with her Strictly journey as much as she can so he never feels out of the loop.

The source continued: "She's assured Wayne it'll be fine and has promised to include him in her preparations, rehearsals and decisions on every level.

"He's even helping her pick costumes, and has encouraged her to go for the super sexy ones to enhance her chances of winning."

The couple, who got married last month, have also discussed how often they will see each other while Frankie is training.

"Being part of the process really helps ease his concerns. They've also put certain rules in place about regular contact and short separations.

"If she can stick to it the whole experience will be much easier on him. But she'll have to remain sensitive to his feelings."
