The pop star was chatting to a journalist in New York when they asked her about the recent drama following her cancelled appearance at the Teen Choice Awards.
Rita, 23, promptly ended the interview before exiting the press area.
The London born singer was prevented from singing her hit single ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ after ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris pulled the plug.
Harris produced and wrote the track, meaning he has to grant permission over matters such as performances at televised award shows.
He defended his decision on Twitter, telling fans he had a ‘good reason’ to prevent Rita from performing.
