They’ve weathered their fair share of storms throughout their 16-year marriage, with Victoria and David Beckham establishing themselves as one of the strongest power couples in showbiz.

But last week, pals say Victoria, 41, was left devastated by reports the pair’s relationship was under serious strain. Sources claimed the couple – who have Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 10, and Harper, four – had been living increasingly separate lives amid hectic work schedules, and that things had been increasingly frosty between Posh and David’s new showbiz pals, including Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Jason Statham and Henry Cavill.

The insiders claimed that was the real reason Victoria pulled out of attending director Guy Ritchie’s lavish wedding to Jacqui Ainsley in July – leaving David to attend solo – and why the pair failed to meet up when they both travelled independently through LAX airport days later within minutes of each other.

A source reveals: “Victoria was devastated by the reports. Their three boys are old enough to read the stories and she hated the idea of them worrying about her and David. She’s admitted to pals things have been tough as they’ve been spending so much time apart but is determined to make things work. She loves David and the family they’ve raised together and says they won’t let it break.”
