Coronation Street and EastEnders are two of the longest running soaps in the UK, and there has always been a sense of friendly rivalry between the two.
While some consider themselves Corrie cobblers for life, others prefer the market calling down in Walford.
Storylines have often appeared to overlap too, which fans of both shows have been quick to point out.
However, Coronation Street star, Tina O'Brien, who plays Sarah Platt, has been forced to comment on accusations of copying EastEnders.
Tina, who has played Sarah on-and-off since 1999, has been part of an epic storyline involving the murder of her boyfriend, Callum, which ultimately led to the post-natal psychosis that viewers have been seeing on their screens.
But, with EastEnders also pursuing a similar storyline with Stacey Slater, accusations were soon made that the soaps had gone too far.
"It's a shame. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't," Tina, 32, said when speaking to Daily Star Sunday.
"But this is very different. Stacey's got bipolar, whereas Sarah's psychosis is centred around Callum."
The actress also spoke about how much responsibility she felt she had for making sure that she portrayed everything correctly.
Fans took to Twitter to discuss both shows overlapping story lines.
This week Callum's body was discovered, but will David confess to the murder to save his family?
