The 24-year-old songstress, who has had top hits with 'Trouble' and 'Love Song' to name but two, also spoke out about her image - which is relatively demure in comparison to her contemporaries.
'I find it relatively easy to keep my clothes on because I don't really feel like taking them off,' says Swift in a recent interview with Glamour magazine.
'It's not an urge I have. For me "risky" is revealing what really happened in my life through music.'
Indeed when you look at artists such as Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna, Swift seems positively Victorian.
'Risky is writing confessional songs and telling the true story about a person with enough details so that everyone knows who that person is. That's putting myself out there, maybe even more than taking my shirt off.'
Taylor also shared some of her top dating tips during the interview, saying you should never yell during an argument, as you should 'never give anyone an excuse to say that you're crazy.'
'For me "risky" is revealing what really happened in my life through music.'
Similarly she discussed her 'freeze-out' technique - reserved only for those boys who are beginning to play games.
'You don't respond to any of his texts or calls until he does something desperate,' which Taylor coined showing up at her house or leaving a voice mail. 'Something that makes it very clear to you that he's interested.'
However, the songstress made it clear she is not a fan of game playing, and prefers to 'walk away from the table' if someone doens't care enough about her.
Very sensible indeed, Taylor.
