Series two of Doctor Foster is fast approaching and if the first is anything to go by, it’s set to be a dramatic one.
In the final episode of series one, Gemma Foster discovers her husband Simon has been having an affair with a family friend’s daughter for two years.
While Gemma obviously didn’t take the news lightly, Suranne Jones, who plays Gemma in the drama, claims she could never forgive her husband for doing such a thing.

During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, the actress explained, “I certainly wouldn’t give my husband, sorry Laurence, the opportunity for us to move on. Not two years!
“He had a whole separate life going on in the show. I think I’m clean cut, if you want to be with someone else, be with someone else.”
Suranne’s husband is Laurence Akers, a magazine editor who popped the question after a six-week whirlwind romance.

The couple tied the knot in 2014, before welcoming a son together last year.
Suranne also revealed some exciting info about the upcoming series, adding, “It’s very different and it’s very dark and it’s very sexy and it’s very tense.”
Sounds good to us!
See Suranne on tonight’s Jonathan Ross Show, on ITV at 9.30pm.
