After six years of marriage, Rapunzel voice-actress Mandy Moore has split from husband Ryan Adams.

According to legal documents, the pair cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason behind their split.

Reports claim that the pair came to the mutual decision that their relationship had ran it’s natural course.

The actress’s representatives released a statement reading: "Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost six years.

"It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time."

Mandy, 30, and musician Ryan, 40, married in March 2009.

The performer had previously hinted that she was hoping to work with her husband on her next musical project.

She said in an interview: "Life, life is inspiring what I'm writing about and I don't know exactly what it's going to sound like quiet yet

"But... I'm going to work with my husband on it and make it at his studio so his influence will be all over it."
