The 34-year-old excitedly shared her latest achievement with fans last week, but one person who is not impressed is Sinead O'Connor.
Sinead, 48, took to Facebook to post a lengthy rant about the 'death' of music, laying into Kim in the process.
Alongside a picture of Kim's cover, the Nothing Compares 2 U singer wrote: "What is this c*** doing on the cover of Rolling Stone ? Music has officially died.
"Who knew it would be Rolling Stone that murdered it? Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh can no longer be expected to take all the blame. Bob Dylan must be f***ing horrified. #BoycottRollingStone [sic]."
While there were, of course, many Kardashian haters out in force agreeing with Sinead, a lot of people were quick to remind her that Kim is not the first non-musician to appear on the cover.
In July 2013, the legendary magazine featured Boston bomb suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev – which one user reminded Sinead.
They wrote: "Have we all forgotten the the Boston bomber was on the cover of rolling stone!!! And people think this is the worst cover in the history of Rolling Stone!! Baffling."
Another added: "Let's not pretend that this is the first non-musician or even first reality star to be on the cover of rolling stone. Rolling stone hasn't been about the music for a long time now. Get over yourself."
