Simon, 54, and girlfriend Lauren Silverman, 37, welcomed son Eric with his on Friday and, just five days later, the duo had set up their little lad with a passport of his very own.

Yup, according to American news site TMZ, the proud parents set-up a passport for Eric at the Manhattan Family Court in New York - but does this mean that the bubba will be flying over to the UK for the very first time with his daddy?

Simon will be returning to our shores for Britain's Got Talent, so we imagine he'd like to have the apple of his eye along with him. However, as medics recommend babies are at least four weeks old before flying, we don't imagine it will be any time soon.

Simon revealed back in December that he is more than ready to become a dad at 54 - and it's all to do with the fact he's got pet dogs!

Speaking with HollywoodLife.com he said: “I don’t think I would have been a great dad at the age of twenty. But now, I have Squiddly and Diddly [his dogs] and I’ve trained them … actually, they’re not trained at all."

"Actually, now that I think about it, they’re the worst behaved dogs in Beverly Hills.

"No, I’ll be a good dad and Lauren will be a great mom.”

We’re sure they are - little Eric looked very contented in all the photos we've seen so far of him!
