Fans of Nicole Scherzinger have been left saddened after hearing reports that the singer has been dropped from her record label.

According to The Sun, label bosses decided to let her go after ‘poor’ sales of her second solo album.

A source told the paper: “There is the feeling that Nicole didn't get the support she needed on the release to make it a success.

"A number of new songs leaked online a few weeks ago and fans were angry that they weren't on her last album."

The news is another blow for the newly single star. Nicole, 36, was left heartbroken in February after splitting from longterm boyfriend Lewis Hamilton.

The Formula 1 ace has since been spotted partying with the likes of Kendall Jenner and her troupe of model pals.

The Sun’s source did however add that they do not think it will be long before Nicole is signed to another label.

The former X Factor judge was at one point rumoured to be returning to the panel, but with the new series fast approaching it looks less and less likely.
