Mrs O, 61, addressed the rumours surrounding the judging panel after it was revealed that this would be Gary Barlow’s last year, and after Louis failed to confirm whether or not he would be returning.
Speaking to a UK magazine, she said: “[Louis’] just fibbing. It’s like Chinese whispers here. It’s like somebody says a little something like, “I’m going on a long holiday”, and the next you hear is, “So and so is leaving”. So I wouldn’t believe anything.”
But while she seemed to confirm that Louis, also 61, would be staying put, Sharon couldn’t say whether or not she would be keeping her role on the show.
She said: “I never know what I’m doing from one day to the next. I don’t even know what country I’m in! Don’t ask me.”
Sharon, who was previously a judge on the show, returned this year for the tenth Anniversary series, and she says she didn’t need to be asked twice.
“It didn’t take much persuading. I wanted to come back for the tenth anniversary. It’s fantastic. I love it.”
And Sharon, who left the show before due a feud with former judge Dannii Minogue, gushed about how much she and other judges get on.
“It’s more than I expected because the judging panel is really good. We’re a team. There’s no rivalry.”
