Sharon Osbourne on daughter Kelly leaving Fashion Police: ‘It was time for her to move on’

Sharon Osbourne has discussed daughter Kelly quitting E!’s Fashion Police following Giuliana Rancic’s racist comments about Zendaya Coleman.

Kelly, 30, quit the show after Giuliana commented on Zendaya’s hair, claiming it made her look like like she smelled of ‘patchouli oil and weed’.

Talking about her daughter’s exit, Sharon, 62, told the Mirror: “I stand by her. You know, she had an amazing five years on the show, and she learned so much from Joan [Rivers].”

“It was just her time. She’s got to grow up, move into the big world.”

Kelly herself recently opened up about leaving the show. She said: “You know what, it was the five best working years of my life. I am so grateful for the experience – working with Joan Rivers for five years was incredible.

“I learned so much and I’m excited for my future. I want to try new things.”

Khloe Kardashian is reportedly in the frame to replace Kelly

Kelly took to Twitter immediately following Giuliana’s racist comment, writing: “I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMMENT. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RSULT OF THIS IM SERIOUSLY QUESTIONING STAYING ON THE SHOW [sic].”

Meanwhile it’s been rumoured that Khloe Kardashian could be in the frame to replace Kelly on Fashion Police.

However she reportedly faces still competition from arch rival Amber Rose.
