It should come as no surprise that Scarlett Johansson has earned a HUGE amount of money from her career – a whopping £2.5 billion.
The 31-year-old has starred in many world famous films from the rom-com He's Just Not That Into You to the action/thriller Lucy, to probably her most famous role as Black Widow in Marvel movies.
Thanks to her brilliant acting skills and all the films she's starred in, she has ranked as the 10th highest-grossing movie star of ALL time.
Which is a great achievement - until you realise she's the only woman in the top 10, even in the top 20 highest paid actors there are only two women; Scarlett and Cameron Diaz.
At the Gene Siskel Film Center's annual gala in Chicago, the actress revealed her feelings about the news: "It's kind of disappointing actually to be the only woman in this category.
"That was a little bit of a surprise to me."
This gave us a shock too when we noticed there was no Jennifer Lawerence, Jane Fond, Julia Roberts or Meryl Streep. The top nine highest-grossing actors are:
-
Harrison Ford - £3.5bn
-
Samuel L Jackson – 3.4bn
-
Morgan Freeman - £3.2bn
-
Tom Hanks - £3.1bn
-
Robert Downey Jr - £2.9bm
-
Eddie Murphy - £.28
-
Tom Cruise - £2.5bn
-
Johnny Depp - £2.4bn
-
Michael Caine - £2.4bn
Meanwhile, the mum-of-one, who is known as a sex symbol, previously surprised everyone when she revealed her opinion on her body: "It's an okay body, I guess. I wouldn't say it's particularly remarkable, though.
"I don't like my thighs, my midsection, but… I'm not going to complain! I got thighs and a midsection, so I'm happy."
It's nice to be reminded that ALL women have insecurities.
