Now it’s been revealed that the 33-year-old has split from her boyfriend of eight months – with their busy schedules getting in the way of the budding romance.
A source told The Sun: “Sarah and Jason wanted to give it a go but knew it wasn’t working. The split was completely amicable.
“Jason is a really successful businessman so he is away all the time as it is. Then Sarah got the part in Corrie which meant she had to spend a lot of time in Manchester. In the end they both knew it was right to call it a day. That same spark wasn’t there.”
Sarah’s turbulent love-life has been well documented, and she previously enjoyed romances with former lothario Calum Best and DJ Tom Crane.
Following her split from fiancé Tom in 2011, former Girls Aloud singer Sarah’s partying spiralled out of control and she checked into rehab.
But the insider confirmed that she’s in a good place this time, adding: “Sarah’s not in a place like she was with the previous splits.
“She’s not upset and she’s not going to have a meltdown like before. She’s feeling good.”
Unlike her other relationships, Sarah kept her romance with Jason out of the public eye and never even revealed his surname.
It’s not all bad news for Sarah: Corrie bosses were said to be so impressed with her performance that they’re already desperate to sign her up for more episodes.
Feisty Sarah took to Twitter yesterday to hit back at the negative comments and thank her fans for their support.
She wrote: “I’d just like to say a massive THANK YOU not only to my loyal hardcores and fans that continue to support me but also, and even BIGGER, SINCERE one, to all the glorious haters out there!!!
“U make me so much stronger and determined… so for that alone… I JUST CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH!! [sic].”
