This comes after she was taken out of the house earlier this week as she examined by medics. CBB bosses are now fearing they may have to pull Sam from the final.

Speaking to a UK newspaper, a source said: “This is serious. Sam is really struggling. It’s why she hasn’t featured as much in the highlights as she would have if she was fully fit.”

There are five days left of the reality show and bosses are questioning whether or not to keep Sam in the house. The source said: “The poor girl. Going on Celebrity Big brother was a dream come true for her but the whole experience has been a nightmare because of illness.

“There are still five days to the final. Questions are being asked over whether she should maybe leave on health grounds.”

Last Wednesday, after her eviction, journalist Liz Jones revealed Sam’s illness and said it was the reason for Sam maybe being branded ‘quiet’ and ‘boring.’

Liz said: “Sam is suffering in there. She has been accused of being quiet and not doing anything but there is a reason. She’s been ill for more than two weeks.

Journalist Liz revealed that Sam has been suffering from her illness for most of her time in the house

“I gather none of this has been shown and people don’t know. They think she is invisible. Some days she was so bad the producers let her stay in bed because she was really ill.”

A spokesmen for Channel 5 confirmed: “While Sam was out of the house she was accompanied at all times by a member of staff who ensured that contact with the outside world remained at a minimum.”
