The star became poorly during her time on CBB and even had to seek medical attention whilst she was in the house.

After the reality show had finished, fans were concerned when she tweeted a photo from hospital where doctors had put the TOWIE star on a drip.

Following her departure from the house, Sam wrote in her column for a popular UK gossip mag: ‘I've literally never been so ill in all my adult life. I had an upset tummy, cold sweats and headaches.’

She continued: ‘I couldn't hold any food down for over a week and my face swelled up. I was worried being ill would affect my votes.’

Sam was pictured with sister Billie leaving a private clinic in Chelsea where she reportedly underwent some blood tests.

The tests revealed that Sam is suffering from a condition called Crohns disease.

According to the NHS website, Crohns ‘is a long-term condition that causes inflammation of the lining of the digestive system.’

Symptoms include stomach upsets, weight loss, abdominal pain, tiredness and passing of blood.

The disease also affects the immune system, leaving poor Sam vulnerable to infections.

Unfortunately there is not cure for Crohns, but the condition can be treated with steroids. According to NHS statistics, there are currently over 115,000 people living with the condition in the UK.

Feel better soon, Sam!
