Russell Brand’s fiancee has spoken out after welcoming her baby daughter Mabel earlier this month.

Laura Gallacher shared a picture of her embroidery box on Instagram which has the word “mother” stitched on it.

She captioned the image: “My new embroidery box…… & my new title! #mother #newmum #bestdaysofmylife #postpartumlife.”

Laura and funnyman Russell welcomed their first child together on Sunday 6 November.

Russell announced the news by telling the audience at his gig at the Nottingham Playhouse that he had to rush off after the show to get back to his partner and their new baby.

An audience member told the Mirror: “He was conscious of the clocked made sure he was off stage by just approaching 9pm as he ‘needed to get down the f**king M21 as my girlfriend has just had a baby.’”

Laura’s sister, television presenter Kirsty Gallacher, was the first to congratulate the couple on the new addition to their family.

She tweeted: “Thanks for messages, proud to be an auntie for the first time… well done to @DaisyPoppets & @rustyrockets. Sadly can’t meet her ’til am well.”

And they were soon congratulated by their followers on social media.

One person wrote: “@rustyrockets I hear you have a baby girl. Many congratulations to you and Laura.”
