Never one to shy away from the spotlight, Rihanna has taken to Instagram to show her ex-boyfriend just exactly what he’s missing in a jewel encrusted two-piece (and not much else!)

From her accompanying hashtag ‘#CROPOVER2013’ the ‘Umbrellas’ singer appears to be en route to her favourite annual celebration.

The 25-year-old is apparently unnerved by the recent rumours that her ex is dating Karrueche Tran as she flaunts her toned body in front of the camera.

But could the snap be just another episode in the Twitter war between the ex-lovers?

Just hours earlier, Chris tweeted: ‘How do u build a house without a foundation???? Friendship brings the trust and love stronger. You have to like a person to love them!’

Rihanna posted a similar tweet on July 25, clearly aimed at her former flame: ‘I hate when exes say, “I’m here if you need me.” Where the f**k were you when we were together and I needed you?’

The fued between the pair is far from over, it would seem.

Rihanna and Chris Brown first dated in 2008, but the couple went their separate ways just a year later when Brown pleaded guilty of assault.

They’ve since rekindled their relationship, only to break up again afterwards.
