Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Teresa wrote: ‘Thank you everyone for all of the cards, letters, and kind words of support I love, love, love you all xo T!’

Teresa, 43, has been sentenced to 15 months in prison after being found guilty of fraud in 2014. Her husband Joe Guidice is also serving a sentence for the same conviction.

The mum-of-four, who made her name on reality show Real Housewives, had previously been social media silent since before Christmas in 2014.

On December 23rd, Teresa tweeted her pride as she shared an event listing for her daughter Gia’s dance show, but days later she would be in custody.

Speaking with Us weekly, Teresa said via her lawyer: ‘I miss Joe and my girls terribly, but we are going to get through this as a family one day at a time.’

‘We will be stronger because of this. Nothing can break us apart.’

Teresa is serving her sentence at Federal Correctional Instiution in Danbury, Connecticut.
