Prince Harry: ‘I only hope my brother knows how expensive my baby-sitting charges are!’

New parents William and Kate are reportedly keen to keep royal baby duties amongst family, but they needn't think this means free babysitting services.

It seems cheeky uncle Prince Harry has already been assessing his babysitting fees.

Harry paid nephew Prince George his first visit on Tuesday night when William and Kate returned to Kensington Palace from hospital.

Speaking to reporters about their first encounter, he described the baby as 'about this long and that wide'.

'When I saw him he was crying, which is just like all babies,' he explained helpfully.

'It's fantastic to have another addition to the family', he gushed, before adding jokingly:

'I only hope my brother knows how expensive my baby-sitting charges are!'

The 28-year-old, who was at the launch of an exhibition highlighting work done by the charity he launched in his late mother Princess Diana's name in 2006, said it was too early to tell whom the baby most resembled.

And it's clear the pilot takes his uncle duties very seriously.

When asked what role he planned to take in the youngster's life, the charmer said:

'To make sure he has a good upbringing and to keep him out of harm's way and make sure he has fun.

'The rest of it I'll leave to the parents.'

How cool would Prince Harry be as an uncle? Vegas anyone?
