The singer, real name Alecia Beth Moore, has stripped off for animal charity PETA to encourage people to stop wearing fur.

As New York Fashion Week gets under way, 35-year-old Pink's naked body will feature on a giant 90ft billboard in Times Square – telling the fashion industry: 'I'd rather go naked than wear fur'.

When speaking about the campaign, as always Pink was totally honest. She said: "I would like to say I've always been fur-free, unfortunately I went through a selfish phase and wore fur on a couple of occasions.

"But I wised up and now boycott fur completely. I wish everyone was forced to learn the horrors that these animals go through for fashion trends.

"I hope fur wearers get bitten in the ass by the same kind of animal they wear on their back."

This isn't the first time mother-of-one Pink has teamed up with PETA: she previously protested against KFC over their reported cruelty to chickens.

She and Ricky Gervais also teamed up for PETA's 'Stolen for fashion' announcement, lending their voices to a rabbit and an alligator looking for the humans who stole their skin.

Other stars who have gone naked to support PETA include Alexandra Burke, Lucy Watson and Gemma Collins.
