Nigella Lawson reportedly signs exclusive deal with chat show Queen Oprah Winfrey to talk about drug scandal

Troubled TV chef Nigella Lawson has allegedly signed a deal with chat show Queen Oprah to discuss her cocaine admission in an effort to salvage her reputation.

Rumours of a deal came after Nigella hit the headlines following revelations that she had been using cocaine and prescription drugs.

The claims were made during a court case involving a group of her former PAs, Elisabetta and Francesca Grillo, who are being accused of defrauding Nigella and her ex-husband Charles Saatchi.

It is thought that Nigella wants to use the Oprah interview to boost her profile stateside in order to crack America. Her new show 'The Taste' is set to debut in the US and an interview with Oprah would encourage positive publicity for her new venture.

Nigella's current PA Karina Arden denied that Nigella had signed a deal with Oprah during the court case against the domestic Goddess's former PAs.

Ms Arden fought back saying: ‘You I suggest have come to court partly to save, as you perceive it, Miss Lawson's reputation.’

She continued ‘I'm here to give witness evidence about the trial of the Grillos because I worked for them for so long, and that is why I'm here.’
