It was only yesterday the news broke that Natasha’s engagement to Richie had been called off, and already she’s had to take to Twitter to defend herself against trolls

Going through a break-up is never easy for anyone, least of all when you’re in the public eye. Which is something Natasha Hamilton knows all too well, after she publicly confirmed that she and former 5ive singer Richie Neville had called off their engagement, one year and a half after welcoming their daughter, Ella Rose, into the world.

And now, after being attacked by Twitter trolls over the split, Natasha has spoken up on social media against those negative comments.

“It makes me so angry that when your having a really tough time in life, all the scrum crawl out the woodwork to troll you," she said.

"Shame on you!”

Go Natasha!

Comments from trolls read along the lines of: “You're going through men at a ridiculous rate and have a kid with anyone.”

Another cruel social media user wrote: “You're a 29/30-year-old woman, for Pete's sake, not some starstruck teen!”

Not one to take criticism lying down, Natasha retweeted some of the hateful messages sent her way (which have since been deleted).

She replied: “D*ckhead like this make me sick!”

Yesterday the mum-of-four announced her split from Richie, saying in OK Magazine:

"I’m devastated about us splitting up.

"Ritchie and I are still good friends but we are no longer together."

Natasha said she’s focusing on spending time with her three boys, Josh, Harry and Alfie alongside baby daughter Ella Rose in the midst of the split, recently taking her sons on holiday to Orlando, Florida.
