The former Coronation Street beauty is starring in the new series of BBC drama Our Girl and, while she’s excited to get stuck in, Michelle, 28, admitted it’s going to be hard leading her Essex boy behind.

Speaking to The Sun, Michelle said: “I’m out there for a long time. Obviously I’ll miss him and I’ll miss home. But it’s my first job working away properly and I’m just excited for the challenge.”

But Michelle is hoping Mark, also 28, can take a break from his commitments in the UK and visit her on set.

She added: “If Mark can come out then he will pay me a visit. It’ll be tough but worth it.”

Lacey Turner previously starred in the critically acclaimed series, and Michelle knows it’s going to be a challenge stepping into the EastEnders actress’s shoes.

Speaking previously, Michelle said: “I’m a massive fan of the series so I can’t wait to be a part of it. It’s going to be a big but exciting challenge for me.”

Michelle will play Corporal Georgie Lane in the series, and filming is expected to begin in January 2016.
