Michelle Keegan reveals wedding day beauty secrets: ‘I had a bit of a panic’

Michelle Keegan looked the picture of happiness on her wedding day to Mark Wright - and, as always, drop-dead gorgeous.

And now the new Mrs Wright has revealed her top bridal beauty secrets.

Taking to her blog with Hello! magazine, she wrote: “Before our big day, I did a lot of pampering (mostly at home because it’s convenient) running around doing errands and also had the wedding rehearsal.”

She then went on to explain her detailed beauty regime, revealing that she used Midnight Face Skin Recovery Concentrate by Kiehls every night after removing her makeup.

She added: "I have also enjoy regular facials, and don’t really wear any make-up unless I’m going out which I think allows your skin to breathe.”

Michelle admitted that she had a lot of help from her close friend Collette Casey (aka makeup artist to the stars), who had some seriously good tips on how to keep wedding makeup looking perfect all day long.

She advised to wear suncream if you are getting married in the summer, as well as using lip glosses or balms with SPF in them.

Collette added: “Layering your products also helps it last all day for example, try using a cream blusher underneath your powder blush or a cream eyeshadow before your powder eyeshadow – layering the products will help your makeup last longer.

“[And] there are some products now that set your makeup and keep it in place all day. Have a try at Urban Decay setting spray. Apply a light mist onto the face then allow to dry.”

Michelle thanked Collette for her beauty tips - but she also made sure to thank all of her and Mark’s fans for their support in the run-up to their big day.

She wrote firmly: “Thank you everyone who has messaged me and tweeted me congratulations and good luck.

“It really means so much to both Mark and myself and we had the most amazing day.”

N’aww - congratulations to the happy couple!
