Appearing on This Morning to help raise awareness of World Mental Health day, TV personality and DJ Mark Wright revealed that he has suffered from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) ever since he was a young boy.

Speaking about his battle with the condition, Mark said: “I have symmetry OCD, if I touch one leg in a certain place I have to do it on the same leg.”

“Growing up as a kid my dad had OCD, little habits he does and so does my sister Jess – we all have little habits, we have to touch things a certain amount of times.”

Mark is fronting a new programme, Living With OCD, where he looks into the daily challenges by people suffering with OCD and admits that his OCD isn’t as bad as some of the people he met whilst filming.

He said: “It’s serious for these people and it’s not funny at all.”

Many This Morning viewers praised the show for highlighting such an important topic – especially as there is thought to be 750,000 living with the condition in the UK alone.

We’re really proud that Mark felt brave enough to speak out. Help end the stigma by sharing the hashtag **#WorldMentalHealthDay. **
