Despite her musical hiatus, the star and son of actor Keith Allen has been busy – getting married and giving birth to two children since she left showbiz behind in 2010.

The singer married builder and decorator Sam Cooper in 2011, following his proposal in Bali, and gave birth to her first daughter, Marnie Rose, in November of the same year. Just seven months later, the singer announced she was pregnant for the second time – giving birth to Ethel in January 2013.

Lily admitted in May that new tracks for her album were ‘shaping up well’ and has hinted that it could be ready by as early as next Spring.

Twitter users have taken to the social network to express their delight at the news – with one user writing ‘this is the best news since LMFAO announced their retirement from the music industry.’
