King of the jungle Kian Egan, who lost a massive 9lbs in the jungle, has revealed that the show's producers hid a serious health scare from viewers back home.
"I had two days where I couldn’t get out of bed"
The Westlife star has confessed that he was left bedridden for two days after suffering "extreme exhaustion" - and was on the brink of being hospitalised.
He explained to The Mirror: “Being bedridden was really worrying. I knew I was hungry, but I had two days where I couldn’t get out of bed.
“I was having weird head rushes whenever I stood up. It was horrible. It was way, way harder than I ever imagined.”
Kian’s victory was watched by a huge 11.9 million viewers on ITV, as bosses confirmed the singer had been offered a doctor’s visit.
He was given a full medical check-up after leaving the jungle and eventually got the all-clear.
However, despite his bad experience, he added that his three weeks in the jungle were the best of his life:
“I’m on top of the world. I can’t believe I’m the king of the jungle. It was the best three weeks in my life. It was unreal and life-changing. It’s genuinely something you’ll never forget.”
It's good to hear that Kian Egan has got the all-clear and we can't wait to see him in tonight's special Coming Out episode of I'm A Celebrity.
