The 29-year-old accidentally posted a tweet with the irresponsible message and, although she accepts it was wrong, she insists it was meant to be a direct message to her brother Tony.

Writing in her column for new! magazine, Lauren said: “I was meant to direct message him but I tweeted by mistake.

“We’ve got a private joke about me being able to slip under the door soon because I’ll be that slim.

“I wrote, ‘Yeah team anorexic’. It was a really, really stupid thing to write because as you know I’m not a fan of skinny – I’m all about being fit and I’ve worked really hard this year to get into shape the healthy way.”

Former TOWIE star Lauren apologised for any offence she’d caused with her accidental tweet, and insisted she knows it’s not a subject to joke about.

She continued: “I know I need to think before I joke about things on social media in case people think I’m being serious.

“I feel mortified now, as I’d hate to offend anybody [with a tweet] that was never meant to be made public.”

Lauren has been busy in the gym lately, and has been showing off the results of her hard work on Instagram.

Alongside a snap of her looking sweaty after a gruelling workout, she wrote: “I will work harder to become better - dedication consistency and focus there's no other way out there's no quick fix.”
