On the 9th March, Cara Kilbey announced that she had tragically lost her unborn baby, five months into her pregnancy.

Her spokesman said at the time: “Cara and her partner are devastated at the loss and will not be commenting further on this deeply upsetting matter.

"I hope their privacy is respected in order to give them time to grieve and seek support.”

Now, speaking via her new! column, Lauren - whom knows Cara well - has opened up about the moment her friend shared her devastating news with her.

She said: “My mate Cara Kilbey sadly announced her miscarriage last week.

“She’s holding up OK but she’s devastated.”

The former TOWIE star continued: “I cried when she told me but I told her things happen for a reason and, although it’s hard for her at the moment, she’ll get through it and it’ll make her stronger.

“When she’s ready I think she will try again. But, until then, we will all rally around her and make sure she knows she has our full support.”

Cara revealed she was expecting at the start of this year, just weeks after best friend Billi Mucklow announced she was expecting.

Following the news, she said: "So happy and excited to announce we are expecting our first baby together July 2015."
