The 35-year-old slipped into a coma last week, following an alleged drugs overdose at a brothel in Las Vegas.
Ex-wife Khloe Kardashian and her family immediately flew to be at his bedside, and it was reported by E! News that basketball player Lamar communicated with her yesterday.
He is thought to have opened his eyes and said, ‘Hey baby’, before falling back to sleep. Lamar’s former college basketball coach Jim Harrick revealed Khloe has been keeping everyone updated via text message.
He told USA Today: “She reached down and said, ‘You know I love you’, and he kind of nodded. Three or four days after being scared to death and fearing the worst, that is a little hope, a little progress. She texted me that [information].”
Lamar was found unconscious on Wednesday and was rushed to hospital where it was confirmed he was in a critical condition.
It was later revealed that, after suffering multiple strokes, Lamar could suffer brain damage and the longer he remained unresponsive, the more severe his impairments would be.
Khloe – who married Lamar in 2009 – has remained silent on social media since news of Lamar’s condition broke, but her family members have asked fans to pray for him.
