Basketball player Lamar, 34, said that being married to reality TV star Khloewere ‘some of the best years of my life.’
Despite the fact that Khloe served him with divorce papers in December, Lamar said: “I love my wife. She’ll always be my wife, no matter what.”
During a press conference, while Lamar was speaking about being signed to play for Spanish team Baskonia, he was asked whether he thought the divorce would go ahead.
He replied: “Who knows? We don’t know exactly if it is. Only time will tell. But even if we divorced she would always be my wife.”
Lamar then admitted to hoping the pair would rekindle their relationship, saying: “Of course I hope it won’t happen and I hope we can get back together again.”
It’s claimed by some that Lamar appearing on his former wife’s reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians damaged his basketball career, but Lamar insisted he had no regrets.
He said: “There were no problems in general. It was just I think because of my abilities to make things happen off the court so far as doing reality TV that some may have thought I might have lost focus and love for the game.”
A source claimed to a US gossip site that Bruce Jenner was helping Lamar win Khloe back, saying: “Lamar is not about to give up on his marriage to Khloe. He is determined to win her back, thanks to Bruce, who has been encouraging him to do so.”
