Kim Kardashian is one of the most famous mums on the celebrity circuit nowadays, but we rarely see photos of her with her and Kanye West's baby daughter North West.
Which is, presumably, to maintain the little girl's privacy - Kanye and Kim have revealed in the past that, while they're happy to ride a motorbike topless together, they are furiously private when it comes to their baby girl.
However some people have assumed that Nori's absence from Kim and Yeezy's social media means that the duo are spending absolutely no time at all with her - something which Kim, this weekend, has disputed during an argument with a Twitter critic.
On Saturday, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star wanted to share some exciting news with her Twitter followers, and said: "We took our baby girl swimming today for the 1st time, she loved it so much! #BestDayEver"
A user named Jenna McBride, whose Twitter profile reads “Annoyingly living the perfect life. Proud mummy, kids come first!,” responded to Kim's excited tweet, saying:
“probably cos she actually got to see her parents for a change!”
Ouch.
Kimmy K had obviously been reading through her Twitter replies and saw red, because she posted a rather long m message defending her parenting skills to McBride.
Are you ready for this?
“. @jlmcbryde u sound so ignorant. Bc I don't tweet or instagram my every move w my daughter means I am not with her 247? We share what we want. Or is it bc I go support my fiance at every show & I post pix? When the baby goes down 4 bed or a nap, parents are allowed 2 work & support each other, maybe even have fun too”
Which is very true. After all, we see Kim Kardashian out with baby North West about as often as we see Kate Middleton out with baby George - perhaps more - and nobody disputes the Duchess of Cambridge's mothering skills.
It's actually nice to see that Kim, despite living her life in the public eye, is happy to take a step back and let North grow up with a little peace and quiet. A baby is not a fashion accessory, it's a little person who is dependent on you - and the reality star has proven she's willing to respect her baby's privacy.
And we quite agree that parents, as long as they're loving their children, should take the time to "work and support each other", as well as "have fun too" - you're still a couple, after all, and all relationships need nurturing.
