Kerry, 34, moved the family from Oxfordshire to Crowborough, East Sussex – and some residents quickly took to social media to comment on their arrival.

While some complained that Kerry, her husband George Kay and the five children would 'lower the tone' of the area and reduce house prices, one went as far as to say they would 'fit in with the inbreeds'.

One reportedly wrote: "She's upset me, I'm moving away now", while another added: "Oh well… there goes the neighbourhood!"

But Lilly, 12, hit back. She wrote: "Dear Crowborough, it's Lilly here one of the newest locals, I'm excited to meet you all apart from a little hate going around please remember everyone who is hiding behind screens typing hurtful words you are not just slagging off my mum but her children too! [sic].

"Except I would love to thank everyone else in my new village for standing up for us all so excited to meet you all and know that once you know us and my mum we'll all get on [sic]."

Kerry also took to Twitter to post a sarcastic response to her unfriendly locals.

She wrote: "Would like to say a big hello and a thank you to all the lovely people in my new town for such a warm welcome [sic]."
