According to the Daily Star Sunday, Kerry and boyfriend George Kay thought they were having a baby boy and had even picked out a name for the new arrival.

A source told the newspaper: ‘After discovering she was expecting, Kerry did a test which said there was an 86% chance she was having a boy.’

‘They decided on the name George after the baby’s dad and thought that would be nice. But they were shocked to find out about two months ago they were having a girl.’

The source continued: ‘They had to go back to the drawing board to pick a name but they couldn’t think of anything they wanted.’

The couple toyed with the idea of sticking with George , but making it a bit more feminine.

The new arrival will be Kerry's fifth child

‘They thought about Georgina but worried it sounded a bit old and frumpy.’

The Atomic Kitten star has now reportedly settled on something not too dissimilar from the boys name they had picked out.

‘Then Kerry suggested changing the spelling to the female version Jorgie and having James as a second name.’

The source continues: ‘That’s when they settled on Jorgie James Katona Kay for her. It’s unusual but Kerry has never been one for convention and she thinks it’s lovely.’

Kerry’s baby daughter will be her fourth child. She is mum to daughters Molly and Lilly-Sue from ex-husband Brian MacFadden and children Heidi and Maxwell from her marriage to Mark Croft.
