It will be the first album Kerry has made with the Kittens since their 2000 debut Right Now.

The record initially didn’t perform well in the charts, but it hit number one when it was later re-released – with the vocals of Jenny Frost, who replaced Kerry when she quit.

But now Kerry will get the chance to record some of the group’s greatest hits, including Eternal Flame.

She told The Sun: “Atomic Kitten are doing a new album. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say, but we are.

“They’ll be a tour all over the world with just the Kittens and the album should be out next year.

“Atomic Kitten were big everywhere - after I left the band!”

When Jenny, 36, replaced Kerry the group scored their first number one single with, probably their biggest hit, Whole Again.

And Kerry admitted the group will stick to the sound they’re known for. She continued: “The new music will be the original signature sound, which is cheesy pop.

“That’s what people loved. We can’t try and go funky when we’re competing with the likes of Rihanna and Beyonce.”
