Kelly Brook, Katie Price, Lucy Mecklenburgh- which body have women voted most desirable?

A recent poll has found the ‘pornstar' look of surgically enhanced breasts and ultra thin body is now women's least desired look- and the number of women who find plus size figures attractive has doubled.

British women are turning their backs on the ‘pornstar’ look in a backlash against the rising tide of online pornography, the new study reveals.

‘The porn body is overhyped, oversexed and demeaning’

While a decade ago one in eight women aspired to have a ‘porn body’ with outsize breasts and liposuction-thin legs and stomachs, the look made famous by glamour models Katie Price, Pamela Anderson is now the least-wanted look for young women.

Instead young women condemned the look as ‘tacky and dated’ and described it as ‘overhyped, oversexed and demeaning’.

Women who feel the plus sized look is sexy has doubled over the last decade from 1.5 per cent to three per cent as more women accept their natural curves – and British women’s dress sizes increase.

'The most popular body shape is now the curvy ‘soft body’ made famous by Christina Hendricks and Kelly Brook'

Girls have also shunned the waif look made famous by supermodel Kate Moss. While two in five girls admitted starving themselves to achieve an ultra-skinny body a decade ago, now only seven per cent feel the pin-thin figure is attractive.

Instead, the majority of women favour just two body shapes. One in five girls aspire to the ‘fit not thin’ figure of trim but toned reality TV star Lucy Mecklenburgh,

But the most popular body shape is now the curvy ‘soft body’ made famous by actress Christina Hendricks and Kelly Brook, with 68 per cent of women favouring the figure.

Over half of girls polled for women’s website Sofeminine.co.uk claimed the ‘soft body’ was the first ‘attainable’ body shape for real women and 16 per cent celebrated they could ‘ditch the diet and the gym’. A further 38 per cent felt it was the ‘sexiest’ body shape for women’.

Christina Hendricks and Kim Kardashian's curves are now most desired. Hurray!

Commenting on the report, Sofeminine.co.uk Editorial Manager Ursula Dewey said:

'Natural curves are something both men and women both adore'

“The soft body is the biggest change in women’s health and beauty in decades. It’s rocketing popularity shows women are turning their backs on being told to have over the top surgical enhancement or extreme diets are once again embracing their natural beauty and curves.

“The look has been popular throughout history with stars like size 14 Marilyn Monroe – and it’s the one look which men and women both adore.”
