Katie, 37, took to social media this morning to blast his claims they’re planning a musical duet – insisting a collaboration was never on the cards.
She wrote: “I did a favour 4 @kavana_official by appearing in his music video as a favour when he asked but NEVER discussed doing duet with him and this is something that will NEVER happen as infact I’m in the studio recording my own tracks solo [sic].
“This is why I hate doing favours as it always ends up me being used and getting hurt #nevergiveup #hardtotrustanyone [sic].”
During an interview with The Sun, Kavana – who is currently attempting a comeback – poked fun at Katie’s vocals, despite the fact she agreed to appear in his new music video earlier this year.
He said: “We’ve decided to do a duet. I mean, God bless her, she can’t really sing, can she? But I’ve said to her that I’ll get her in the studio and make it sound good.
“It’s going to be a Nineties dance track with a Nineties vibe. Trust me, it’s going to be a great song. We’re writing it together. She loves to sing.”
Mum-of-five Katie was very open about the fact she went on the Channel 5 reality show to make new friends, so Kavana’s comments are sure to come as a blow to her.
Following their exit from the house, Katie took to Twitter to congratulate her new pal on his engagement to partner Neil Ely.
Katie’s Instagram followers were quick to jump to her defence, hitting out at Kavana for his betrayal.
One wrote: “It’s an absolute joke how you go out of your way to do others a favour and then it results in others mixing up stories to just to get a bit of media attention and upset you [sic].”
Another fumed: “I’d say you have considerably more to offer him than the other way round! If he did say that it’s a total cringe on his part. Ideas above his station [sic].”
