She’s been partying up a storm in clubs around the country as she prepares to relaunch her pop career, while celebrating her new look and extreme weight loss. And Katie Price looked to be having the time of her life during a string of meet and greets with her adoring male fans, as she turned out for paid personal appearances in recent weeks.
Last month, Katie, 46, met fans at Level Nightclub in Bolton, a famed student haunt. ‘Squad goals,’ she wrote, as she shared a photo of her cosying up to two male clubgoers. She also captioned a snap of herself in a ballpit, ‘Literally just a girl in her own glam world #justagirl’, before letting off a confetti gun.
But as Closer previously reported, Katie’s boyfriend JJ Slater, 32, has been embarrassed by Katie's behaviour during her public appearances – and sources say he’s now at the end of his tether.
‘JJ has had enough. He told Katie that she needs to rein in her wild behaviour - he absolutely hates it. He tells her she can still be sexy without totally disrespecting him,’ says the insider. ‘Katie shows little respect to him when they’re out in public – she’s on her own mission and acts like he doesn’t exist. She plays up to her persona and tells some guys to DM her. She thinks JJ is overreacting - and she's made it clear she won't stop.'
However, Katie – who has been married three times and hosts an OnlyFans account – adores the attention and has no plans to rein it in, despite her boyfriend’s wishes. ‘Katie chases the excitement of attention. She loves it. It’s like a drug to her,’ the insider reveals. ‘In her head, Katie is Queen Bee and she’ll do whatever it takes to ensure all eyes are on her, no matter how outrageous she acts. And if she oversteps the mark, she doesn’t care if JJ hates it.’
Katie and JJ, who is 14 years her junior, met last year after he appeared on Married At First Sight UK. She reached out to him, before realising that he had messaged her months before, calling her ‘fit’.
While he has supported Katie over the past year, pals say that secretly, JJ has been unimpressed with the mum of five’s flirty antics including a performance at a club in Barnsley where she was filmed downing shots and singing a rendition of Jermaine Stewart’s We Don’t Have To Take Our Clothes Off.
The source revealed, ‘JJ’s such a supportive person, but he does have his limits. He wants to see her doing what makes her happy and loves that she thrives on stage but he’s told friends that he did feel quite embarrassed watching her from the side of the stage. Katie becomes a different person when performing.’
They added, ‘Being with her seemed fun and exciting for JJ at first but he’s now worried that it’s all become a bit humiliating.’
Katie’s recent behaviour is also said to be taking a toll on their relationship amid increasing strain and the couple have even had rows over it. But sources claim that Katie, who has been declared bankrupt twice, is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her fans happy, even at the risk of her love life.
‘Katie and JJ had a big row recently after Katie blasted him and told him to like it or lump it – it’s her job and it pays the bills,’ the insider shares. ‘OnlyFans is one of Katie’s main revenue streams so if fans want to be photographed with her, she’s got no problems with that. She’s on a campaign to recruit young blood to her platform so she’ll pose up all day long. She’s told pals JJ has got to get a grip and there’s no place for being jealous.’
The source continues, ‘Katie has shared with friends that JJ has grown more and more uptight, as he feels she’s dragging him along to the “Pricey Show”. Watching her writhing up and down men as she poses up for meet and greets isn’t the worst of it. She actively hunts men to pose up with and the younger the better.’
Fresh from her Pinocchio stint last month, Katie – who has had failed marriages to Peter Andre, Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler – is preparing to relaunch her once-thriving empire, as she longs for her ‘glory days’ of the ‘90s. She’s starting with the resurgence of her Jordan alter-ego for a photoshoot on the Loaded magazine. ‘My comeback has started so your be [sic] invited to my next invite,’ Katie shared last September.
But insiders warn that Katie and JJ’s future could be at risk if she continues acting like this, after Katie reportedly told pals she'd love to tie the knot with JJ eventually, sources say she is jeopardising their future. 'JJ told pals she doesn't have to act the way she does,' the insider says. 'If she's not careful and doesn't tone it down, JJ will call it - this is not what he signed up for. He's warned Katie not to message these men and to stop the outrageous flirting, but time will tell if she listens.'
