Meanwhile, Gemma, 33, struggled in the jungle from the moment the show launched.
The reality star broke down in tears when she was expected to ride in a helicopter alongside her fellow campers.
She then feared she was suffering from malaria after experiencing some unpleasant stomach symptoms, which she then shared with her fellow celebrities.
A spokesman for I’m A Celebrity said: "We're sorry to see Gemma go but respect her decision and wish her well."
ITV have not yet confirmed if they plan to replace Gemma, though former X Factor Jake Quickenden has been spotted in Australia prompting rumours he will enter the jungle.
