Jennifer Ellison ‘needed medical attention’ for extreme sugar withdrawals

But one person who didn’t get on so well with the diet is Jennifer Ellison, who has revealed she had to seek medical treatment after quitting sugar for two weeks.

Jennifer, 32, was taking part in ITV’s Sugar Free Farm has opened up about the severe withdrawals she experienced.

The dancer said: “I got hit the hardest with withdrawal, as my sugar intake was the highest.

“I was picking carrots with Jane [McDonald] on the farm and every time I bent down I felt like someone was standing on my eyeballs. I felt physically sick.”

Jennifer added: “I had the worst headache I’ve ever, ever felt. If you’ve ever detoxed, take that feeling and times it by 10. We we detoxing from processed food, sugar, alcohol, everything.”

Celebrities including musical theatre star Jane and The Only Way Is Essex’s James ‘Arg’ Argent took part in the challenge with Jennifer, who went on to lose a stone and a half.

In October last year Jennifer, who is mum to sons Harry, Bobby and Charlie, defended her weight after being snapped showing off a fuller figure.

The Dance Mums UK coach soared to 14 stone, which she admitted was the biggest she’s ever been, but insisted the only person she cares about impressing is her husband Rob Tickle.

Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine, Jennifer said: “I don’t care about trolls. What I look like is not a priority. My husband still looks at me the way he did when I was nine stone, after doing my fitness DVD. I’m happy and feel so loved.”
