Jason Manford might be famed for his job as a stand-up comedian, but it seems as if the 33-year-old funny man could have aright career ahead of him as a detective, too!

Taking to social media, he revealed to his fans that his twin girls had come home with similar injuries after bumping into another child at school.

But, while the teachers wouldn't tell him who the culprit was, he soon figured it out for himself.

Posting the notes on Twitter and Facebook, he explained: "Sometimes your child bumps into another kid in the playground but school policy dictates they can’t tell you who the other kid is!

"But when you’ve got twins you can sometimes be a bit Columbo about it…"

Take a look for yourselves and see if YOU can figure out what happened here:

Well Sherlock, did you get it?

Yup, the Manford twins bumped into each other; bless them!

Jason isn't shy about sharing his parenting anecdotes with his fans; last year he posted a photo of the genius note he'd penned from the toothfairy to his 'naughty' daughter.

It read: He wrote: "I'm sorry I didn't take your tooth and leave you some money, but when I arrived at your house![] at 10pm you and your sister were still awake and being naughty for your dad.

"I have a very strict rule not to give money to naughty children. I will try again tomorrow night and hopefully when I arrive you will have been a good girl all day."

Via Facebook

"I'm surprised at you because when I spoke to Father Christmas this morning he said you were such a good girl, I'd hate to tell him otherwise.

"Regards, The Tooth Fairy."

Amazing.
