Jason Manford might be famous for being a comedian, but, as followers of his Facebook page will know, he is a father first and foremost.

But the father-of-three appears to have left some people positively outraged after writing a status about regifting this Christmas.

He wrote on Facebook: "Kids gone to bed early & I'm now sorting through toys in the playroom.

"Have just found half a dozen toys, dolls & games that have never been opened!"

The popular comic added cheekily: "Will re-wrap them up for Christmas - mwhaha ha!"

The status was 'liked' by over 13,000 people.

Unfortunately, while plenty of parents found it easy to relate to his status (many sardonically writing "ah, the joys of regifting - I have done this every year!"), some were left outraged on behalf of his daughters, insisting that they deserve a new present.

And, somewhat surprisingly, some followers even slammed the comedian - who famously works hard to raise money for numerous charities - for not giving the toys away to those in need.

One wrote sharply: "Why not donate then to a hospital or charity for kids?"

To which Jason replied: "Don't want to."

But the commenter quickly garnered support, with another Facebook user adding: "I would give them away - they obviously don't need them."

And still one more person insisted: "Anything that isn't opened and hasn't been used I give to a charity.

"There are loads this time of year especially collecting for kids that don't have anything."

Clearly irritated by the comments he was receiving, Jason made sure to clarify his comments in a second status.

He wrote: "Can't believe how many people took my status about finding unopened toys whilst tidying up the playroom so seriously."

But, in an ultra cheeky (and hilarious) move, he finished: "As if [I ever] tidy up the playroom; I have staff who do that! Get a grip!"

Point well and truly made, Jason!

**Do you agree with Jason - are people being over-sensitive? Is regifting a perfectly acceptable part of Christmas? **Or do you think that he SHOULD donate the old presents to charity?
