Holly Valance showed off her slimline figure in a designer floral dress on Twitter last week, having dropped from a size 14 to a 10-12 in two months.
At the same time, the Strictly Come Dancing star also poked fun at the interest in her figure by posting a jokey photo of her “lunch” – a bottle of water and lettuce leaf.
But despite her sarcastic take on the fuss around her size, pals say she is taking her diet and exercise regime seriously to look her best for her wedding to fiancé Nick Candy, 39, later this year. A pal says: “She’s cut down on indulgent nights out and is following a strict diet. She’s dropped just over a dress size fairly quickly, but wants to lose some more weight.”

As Closer reported last month, Holly, 29, is following the Clean & Lean Diet – an eating plan devised by her pal James Duigan, which bans sugars, processed foods and caffeine, which encourages the body to store fat.
A pal says: “Holly’s picked her wedding dress and she’s having it made in a size 10. She’s adamant it’ll fit perfectly. James has limited her to 1,500 calories a day. She only drinks alcohol in moderation now, having vodka sodas or white wine instead of cocktails. But she is finding it hard – especially as Nick eats what he wants and doesn’t put on weight.”
And Holly is exercising more, too. As well as keeping fit with hiking, yoga and swimming, she’s been working out at James Duigan’s Bodyism gym. A pal says: “She was doing Pilates four times a week and has upped that to nearly every day. James is mixing up her regime and sending new recipes. He and his wife Christiane have been a big help.”
Over the years, Holly has fluctuated between a trim size 8 and a curvier 14. After toning up on last year’s Strictly Come Dancing, the star is said to have gone from a size 10-12 to a 14 in a matter of months earlier this year.
When unflattering pictures of Holly appeared in April, sources said she loved meals out with billionaire property magnate Nick. But now, with pals saying the wedding is set for the autumn, Holly is determined to shape up.
A pal says: “The couple have been vague about the date, but it’s likely to be in Malibu in September. It’s cooler than in August and LA is halfway between Nick’s family in the UK and Holly’s in Australia. They wanted a small beach wedding, but having all the people they love there means the guest list is now up to 250. There will be star performers and one of the best LA chefs will do the catering.
The pal adds: “Holly is on a mission to look fantastic. She’s told pals she’ll relax the diet on the honeymoon!”
