The 71-year-old, who played womaniser Reg Holdsworth in Coronation Street, made his 'groping' confession in an interview before he entered the Celebrity Big Brother house.
Ken Morley said of the 1980s: “Everybody was at it, I was at it, we were all at it.
“Groping and grabbing was just part of the course. It was regarded as normal.”
The Corrie star also said that, in his opinion, police investigations into historic sex offences, such as Operation Yewtree, are nothing more than 'witch hunts'.
Speaking with The Sun, he explained: “They’re still very touchy about paedophiles. What is the permissive age? It’s all over the place.
“The age of consent has to be decided upon and it’s all a case of agreement and sensibility.
“You have to mark out that children leave school at 15 or 16 and anything beyond that — you’re on a very risky wicket.
“I know in some parts 14 is accepted for having children.”
He added firmly: “[Nowadays] You’re terrified of laying your hand on a woman now as a man because you know they’ll say, ‘Christ, I’ve been assaulted’, or ‘You’re in my personal space’. We have gone a bit too far at the moment.”
The married father-of-one also admitted that he had slept with ‘an enormous amount of women’ and claimed that he would watch if CBB housemates started having sex next to him.
