Adam Thomas - who plays Adam Barton in ITV's Emmerdale - was stuck in traffic earlier this week when he decided to spice up his journey with a little music.
Grabbing his mobile phone, the 27-year-old broke into a Marvin Gaye song and began pulling silly faces at the camera.
He captioned the video as: “Stuck in traffic? whack a bit of Marvin on... Let’s go.”
While many of his fans saw the video as a bit of lighthearted fun, road safety campaigners have slammed the soapstar for his 'dangerous' driving - pointing out that he could have caused a crash on the dual carriageway.
Gary Rae, for safety charity Brake, said: “This appears to be selfie selfishness.
"We’d welcome those in the public eye setting a good example and save the singing for the stage.”
Adam has since taken the video down.
An ITV spokeswoman explained on his behalf: “He realises the error of his ways.”
