With Holly Willoughby recovering from voice-saving surgery, it looked like Phillip Schofield was going to be very lonely on the This Morning sofa.

Thank goodness, then, that Celebrity Big Brother host Emma Willis has been drafted in to keep him company until Holly's return!

Phillip tweeted a welcome to Emma over the weekend, saying: "Hoping @Emma_Willis doesn't slip in the rain, she's with me on @itvthismorning on Monday. Don't need another soldier down #HollysNodules".

And Holly has been just as active on Twitter, revealing to followers that her operation on Friday, which sought to get rid of vocal cord nodules which have caused her months of pain, was a success:

“Phew! Nodules gone, operation a success. After Adele had hers done, she won a Grammy... Fingers crossed! xxx”

Holly will miss two shows this week, returning on Wednesday, with Emma Willis slotted in to cover her on Monday and Tuesday.

And if seems as if Emma Willis IS the ultimate Holly replacement, as she's also set to replace her as the new host of BBC's The Voice when it returns to our screens later this year.
