You’d have thought that one of the perks of working on EastEnders is that you can have a drink at the Vic whenever you want.
But sadly, according to Danny Dyer at least, they’re pretty strict about boozing on set.
So much so that they’ve actually resorted to putting antiseptic TCP in the pumps, in a desperate bid to stop the 38-year-old treating himself to a cheeky pint at the end of the day.
Writing in his new autobiography, The World According To Danny Dyer, he confessed: "I sometimes have a half at the end of the day in The Queen Vic, though they started putting TCP in the pumps to stop me drinking it."
Ah, TCP; you are, without a doubt, the ultimate life-ruiner.
Thankfully, the real-life Mick Carter will be able to enjoy a drink in his favourite East Ender pub again soon.
Because he’s only having a mini Queen Vic replica built at his new gaff!
"I'm just about to move into my dream house. It's got a little annex which I'm turning into The Queen Vic," he said in the book.
"The prop boys are going to come in and build a mini version of it for me. I've already nicked an old sign they had.
"EastEnders has played a massive part in my life and it can be a little bit of a man cave for me."
The World According to Danny Dyer: Life Lessons from the East End is out on Thursday (October 22).
